Items that must separated and/or extra fee added



Metals:

  • Please put these in the back of the dumpster/trailer (by the door) as we have to dispose of these separately from the rest of the trash if its a large amount. Scrap metal will not have any additional fees added per item (not including appliances and some other items)




Electronics:

These items will have an additional cost per item and CANNOT be in the dumpster/trailer. We must be notified of these items prior to rental to make sure we have a place to dispose of these. From time to time facilities stop accepting them from businesses. Currently LCSWMA is not accepting these from businesses but as a resident you can dispose of these for free.

  • Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT/tube-style computer monitors or televisions)
  • Tvs
  • Computer monitors
  • Computer tower
  • Laptops
  • Printers
  • Others on a case by case basis





Appliances aka White goods

These items will have an additional cost per item

  • Stoves
  • Microwaves
  • Washers and Dryers
  • Dishwashers
  • Air Conditioners
  • Refrigerators and Freezers (which contain or may contain refrigerants will not be accepted if they are compacted or damaged in any way that precludes efficient and safe removal of refrigerants.)
  • Furnaces and Electrical Heaters
  • Hot Water Heaters




Concrete, blocks, rocks, dirt, tile, roofing material (shed roofs are fine in normal dumpster rental),  manure, asphalt, yard waste (larger amounts), ash and other bulk items

These items must be in their own dumpster rental at a different rate than advertised with weight restrictions. Depending on quantity you may have to go with a different company.



Tires and Batteries

These items will have an additional cost per item

  • Any type of tire under 20in $15, 20in or over $25
  • Car battery $40
  • Marine battery $40
  • Smaller batteries (case by case basis) 



**Prohibited Items/Materials**

  • Paint
  • Acetylene Cylinders
  • Asbestos or Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM)- applies to both fibrous and solid materials
  • Closed Compressed Gas Cylinders – high pressure cylinders with valve intact
  • Combustible or Flammable Materials – fuels, paints, degreasers, unpunctured aerosol cans
  • Corrosive Materials – highly acidic or caustic materials (battery acid, caustic soda, etc.)
  • Explosive Materials, Munitions, Shell Casings – includes suspect military scrap
  • Free Flowing Liquids (including water)
  • Hazardous Waste – toxic or poisonous materials or wastes
  • Infectious Materials – blood-soaked or biohazard items
  • Liquids or Scrap Containing Free Flowing Liquids – fuels, antifreeze, oils, hydraulic fluid, paints
  • Mercury Containing Materials – mercury-containing thermostats, switches or fluorescent light bulbs
  • Whole tanks uncut
  • Radioactive Scrap – anything exhibiting radiation levels above background
  • Chemicals such as cleaning materials
  • Oils
