Please note that if you finish with the dumpster before your scheduled date, no refund will be issued for the unused days.
You may need to obtain a permit to place a dumpster on the street and the rare occasion on your property in your township or borough. Where to take household hazardous waste
There are many items that cannot be disposed of in dumpsters. These items are considered household hazardous waste and include televisions, computer monitors, paint, chemicals, cleaners, gasoline, and more. For a comprehensive list, please visit our page explaining what cannot be disposed of. These regulations are not set by us, but by the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority. However, residents of the county can dispose of these items for free. Businesses and schools are not permitted to bring in these items. We have attended several board meetings and sent emails to change this policy so that dumpster rental and junk removal companies can bring in items from residents, but so far, our efforts have been unsuccessful. We understand that many residents may not have the means to transport these hazardous items to the proper disposal facility, but unfortunately, we cannot change the rules. The address for residents to dispose of these items is 1299 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. To dispose of hazardous waste, simply turn right when you pull into the facility and drive up to the garage door.

Question: How are dumpsters measured?
Answer: Dumpsters are measured in cubic yards. A cubic yard is equal to a dresser with dimensions of 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide and 4.5ft long. Question: Will a roll off dumpster damage my driveway?
Answer: While it is possible for the driveway to be damaged we do everything we can to ensure that this does not happen. We can put boards down under the dumpster to keep it from sitting directly on the driveway. This helps disburse the weight and keeps the rollers from scratching the driveway. Since we can only handle 4 tons in our dumpsters with that low weight with it being disbursed on the wood it won't sink it.

We currently run a roll off trailer pulled by a pickup truck for our roll off dumpsters. We need approximately 60 feet to be able to drop one of our roll off dumpsters. Our driveway friendly dumpster can fit into much tighter spaces and does not require the space needed to roll off.
